Heritage Orchard Board

The Heritage Orchard is located off Warren Lane, (down Drover’s Way, opposite the Visitor Centre).

In 2026 the Society produced an updated board for the Heritage Orchard, the existing one was in a sorry state and new trees had been planted since it was installed in 2015.

The Society paid for all materials, built and erected the board. LHS members worked on the wording and identifying the positions of the trees and the graphics and final board design was provided by Keith Woolford of Arch media

Rednal Board

In 2024 the society produced this board  to mark the centenary of the arrival of the first tram from Birmingham to Rednal.

There are 2 sides to the board; one with information on Rednal Village, it’s history and past notable buildings; the other has an artist’s impression of the old Rednal Tram Terminus, which many people still have fond memories of, with information about the trams.

It took a considerable amount of research by members of the Society and the graphics and composition were the work of Keith and Simon Woolford of Arch Media.

The Society paid for all materials, built  and erected the board near the remaining tram tracks, behind Lai Ling,  on Elliot Gardens, off the Lickey Road.

“Gateway” Information Boards

 

In 2021 the society funded, carried out research and helped design the Information or ‘Gateway Boards’  located at four entrances to the Country Park. The team was led by Keith Woolford of Arch media and consisted of LHS members and the Rangers

Each board is double sided with a map of the Country Park on one side and information relevant to the particular location on the other. 

• Beacon Hill car park (Monument Lane)
• the Old Rose & Crown, near the duck pond (Rose Hill))
• the Fordrough (off Fiery Hill Road - opposite Barnt Green Station)
• Visitor Centre - footpath down to VC from main car park
